Accommodation information

 

Accommodation has been reserved f delegates as follows:

 

·         Halls of Residence at the University (Shelton)

Single student-study rooms with shared bathroom and toilet facilities on each floor, laundry facilities including dryers and irons.  Ample car parking space available. AUD$57 per night (including breakfast).  Please be aware that this conference is being held during term time.

 

·         Gattonview Motel (10-15 minutes east from Conference Venue; transfers provided by Conference)

The Motel is located at the top of the hill overlooking the centre of Gatton.  It has great views looking over the surrounding farmland to the forested hills to the north and south and enjoys a nice breeze.  The motel is also close to services.

·         Gatton Motel (10 minutes east from Conference Venue; transfers provided by Conference)

The Motel is in the town of Gatton.  All rooms have comfortable beds (double / queen / single), air conditioning (heating and cooling), colour television, tea & coffee making facilities, clock radio, direct dial telephones, refrigerator and a choice of cooked or continental breakfast served in the room.  On site laundry facilities, and easy walk to the shops, post office.

·         Hatton Vale Motel (15 minutes west from Conference Venue; transfers provided by Conference)

Situated in the area of Hatton Vale.  All rooms have comfortable beds, air conditioning (heating and cooling), colour television, tea & coffee making facilities, clock radio, room service, swimming pool, BBQ facilities and undercover parking.

Single Room AUD$59   (one person) per night    Twin/Double Room AUD$70 per room per night

 

·         Great Divide Motor Inn (30 minutes west from Conference Venue; transfers provided by Conference)

Located at the top of the range in the beautiful city of Toowoomba.  September is Toowoomba’s famous Carnival of Flowers which is held in the week of the conference.  The Inn provides comfortable and spacious accommodation with features including: Austar; split unit, reverse-cycle air conditioning; queen size beds; guests laundry; fax and internet connection; toaster and kettle in each room; saltwater pool.

Standard Room Single / Double AUD$99 per room per night (includes cooked breakfast) 

Executive Suite AUD$130 for 2 people per room per night (includes cooked breakfast)

 

Woodlands of Marburg (30 minutes east from Conference Venue; transfers provided by Conference)

Woodlands, located in Marburg, is a grand old building built in 1890 that still retains its old world charm while providing modern facilities.  The accommodation is simple with a queen size bed and shared bathroom facilities.  There is a spacious pool surrounded by barbeque and outdoor eating area with access to 400 acres open space for walking.

Single/Double Room Queen size bed (with chance of sharing bathroom facilities with someone else) AUD$90 per night

2 Single/Double Rooms each with Queen size bed (with bathroom facilities between the 2 rooms) AUD$120 per night. 

 

If you are interested in 4 star accommodation, Bed & Breakfast or Caravan Parks,

please indicate on the Registration form.

 

Please note that transport will be provided between Motels and the Conference Venue.  

 

Delegates requiring SHARE ACCOMMODATION should make their own share arrangements. Each should fill in the accommodation section of the form and should also include the name of the person with whom sharing, but only one person needs to make the appropriate payment/deposit.

 

Check in/out Time for Motels

All motels have an 11.00am check in time and a 10.00am check out time.  Rooms will only be held until 6.00pm on the day of arrival unless prior notice of late arrival is indicated on the registration form.  The procedure for check in at the Halls of Residence will be confirmed.

 

If you are paying by Credit Card your credit card details will be forwarded to the Motel of your choice to secure your accommodation.  It is at the Motel’s discretion as to whether a deposit will be charged prior to arrival.   Please note that University College accommodation must be paid in full at the time of booking.

·         31 July 2004            Receipt of full papers (for both oral and poster presentations)

·         31 July 2004            Early registration available for the Conference
