Tour 1:  Friday 24th September   

Depart 1.30pm from the University of Queensland Gatton campus for an experience of the essence of the Australian Bush. We’ll be visiting Weewalk, an 80 acre working property specialising in growing Australian Native Bushfoods run by Jenni and Rob Weekes. Weewalk has approximately 2,500 organically grown Australian Native Bushfood trees and shrubs consisting of 45 varieties.  There are also a number of historic slab huts on the property.    Afternoon tea provided.

Min. 10 people.

Tour 2:  Saturday 25th September

We depart 6.30am and cross into NSW where we head for Blue Knob to meet Lindsay and Jamie who have a superb hilltop property and export Finger Limes and Davidsons Plums. Lunch will be top class tucker including luscious Yamba Prawns! Depart Noon to visit a Lemon Myrtle Plantation. Depart 1pm for Tintenbar where we will visit a member of the Sub-Tropical Fruit Club who has a Macadamia orchard as well as many different types of  fruit trees and also grows Pitaya under netting.  This will be a long day of 12 hours+ and requires a minimum of 10 people for the tour to operate otherwise alternate arrangements will be made. Bring a hat and suitable footwear for walking around farms. Oh - and rainwear just in case!

Tour Cost:  Aust. $125.00   
This includes transport, lunch and morning/afternoon teas.  
Northern New South Wales is a truly beautiful area.

Tour 3:  Saturday Night:  If you plan on taking the tour on Sunday and getting together with a few of the Fruit Club Members on the Saturday night, then may I suggest staying either at Quality Hotel Clear Mountain -  Special Rate: Aust. $99.00 double/twin includes buffet breakfast for 2. Ph: +61 7 3298 5100 or the Dayboro Hotel which is an old country pub (no en-suites) $55.00 double $35.00 single Ph: +61 7 3425 1101 Both these places are in close proximity to where you would be entertained by the Club on Saturday night.  As it is school holiday time during this period, we suggest you book your accommodation early.   www.clearmtn.com.au    Costing/contribution for dinner to be advised  – depends on numbers and if we have to hire a bus or just car-pool.                                                                                                                                                               

Tour 4:  Sunday 26th September – Today we head up the north coast where you have been cordially invited by Peter Young to visit Birdwood Wholesale Nursery 71 Blackall Range Road Woombye.  Birdwood specialise in propagating fruit trees and have a large export business. Lunch at the Pub. For those who would prefer to see Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo and his crocodile/bird show, we could drop you off on the way and collect you on the way back.  

Tour Cost Aust. $35.00.  

Those travelling to Australia Zoo, entrance will be at your expense.  Min. 10 people for bus trip otherwise alternate arrangements will be made.  The visit to Birdwood is exclusively for Acotanc attendees, spouses & partners.  After visiting Australia Zoo you have been invited to visit a member of the Sub-Tropical Fruit Club who resides 300 metres distance from the Zoo.
