Advice on Publications Available.Mr Greg Ferguson has recently commenced duty as the third member of the team for the New Crops Project described in the last issue of the Australian New Crops Newsletter.
Greg is enrolled as a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Management Studies and will be studying the economic analysis of new crops.
Greg has a Diploma in Agriculture (Gatton), a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics (UNE), both with honours, and a Post-graduate Diploma in Development Economics with Distinction (Cambridge, UK). The latter was completed in 1977 and he has subsequently worked as a consultant for a number of international agencies.
Since 1985 he has been the Managing Director and part-owner of a consultancy company specialising in management and economic evaluation in the sugar industry.
An advertisement for the final member of the team will be placed later this year. The final position will be for a Ph.D. candidate to be responsible for agronomic assessments of new crops.
