Brisbane Park RoyalTropical and subtropical species are major contributors to food, fibre, pharmaceuticals and industrial raw materials throughout the world. Recent techniques in biotechnology have been applied to some of these species and many opportunities exist in thi s field.
This symposium will review current progress and explore potential applications. All aspects of cell and tissue culture and recent developments in molecular biology will be covered via papers, posters, tours and a workshop, and conclude with an optional practical workshop on either transformation systems or molecular markers.
